Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is confident Bukayo Saka will renew his contract with the club but it will take time for
the 20-year-old to become one of the players. The most important of the Gunners under Arteta, having made 38 league appearances last season and scoring 10 goals
, the England winger signed two years ago. He currently has one year left on his contract with the option to extend it for an additional year, but Arsenal are trying to find a way to extend him.
“I am very confident that the club, Bukayo and his family and his agent are in agreement. Now it’s about getting that on the paper,” Arteta said.
“I want the contract extension to be completed. Because I don’t want players to be distracted from this season. But things like this take time.” The UFABET report
Arteta added that the club are in no rush to sign new players before the transfer window closes on September 1, but that a transfer could take place before the deadline.
“We want to add some quality to the team and if we can’t, it’s not worth it. We will be very happy and focus on getting the players out of form, of course.”
When asked about Nicolas Pepe, he replied: “Whatever we can communicate, we always communicate when the time is right. We talked that we had a big team and made the decision to let some players leave. Anything can happen to any player before the transfer window closes.”
